Taiko takes its name from the Japanese for ‘drum’ as it is located in what was once the percussion department of the old music school. Taiko redefines contemporary Asian cuisine with authentic dishes made of local, seasonal products. Guests are served delicious signature sashimi and beef from the Binchō-tan grill. With its stylish and enthusiastic service the restaurant has a cosmopolitan feel, popular with both international visitors and locals. Executive Chef, Schilo van Coevorden, created the restaurant to honour beautiful flavours and textures from across the Far East, all modern-Asian inspired.
