NUTS aims to improve the ability to share medical data between caregivers and with patients and to facilitate collaboration between IT suppliers in healthcare. We advocate for the need to create a decentralized communication network for Healthcare that enables fast, safe, and cost-effective medical data sharing, while involving patients, and adhering to the principles of privacy by design. We stimulate the development of open source technical components, we support research and development in leading edge decentralized technologies, and we formulate the rules of play for collaboration between the IT suppliers involved in our community.
