We are a Capoeira Angola group based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, under the leadership of Ronnie Julianto Bakker and Ilma van de Beek. They learned capoeira from professor Totti Angola, who was a student of Mestre João Grande in New York since 1994, and started teaching in The Netherlands in 2002. After he left to Brazil in 2013, Ilma and Ronnie started GCAH to maintain and promote the art of Capoeira Angola in The Netherlands. Since 2020, GCAH has been affiliated with Filhos de Angola led by Mestre Laercio. We have classes in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht - see the website for details.
